While sex dolls are nothing more than sex toys in some people’s eyes, they can also be fascinating subjects, especially for the mass media. Perhaps it’s because they look so much like humans. The media’s interest in this topic continues unabated. An example of this is a movie director who shot a story about an erotic store that fell in love with a sex doll, and the doll was named Boxanne.

This short film premiered in January this year and had a red carpet premiere, as announced on delawareonline.com. The film was submitted to 36 film festivals around the world, and the lead actor (who is also the director of the film), Patrick Ruegsegger, won Best Actor at the IndieX Film Fest in L.A.!

I haven’t seen the film, but it’s a kind of cult film that makes more people accept the subject, and it’s different and good news for the industry.
